This section is called Chuquicahuana and it's the best part of the
Urubamba
River. It is classified as class II, III and III+. This section has continuous rapids and for one day trip it's great fun!

Itinerary
At
8 am passengers will be picked up at their hotel, after a one and a half-hours drive you'll arrive to the put -in at the shores of the upper
Urubamba
River , also called Chuquicahuana. The guides will give you a safety talk and provide you with all the proper equipment for rafting. You will be floating for approximately two hours, running class II and III, rapids (class IV rapids from January to April). Afterwards, you'll arrive to the take-out, where we are going to have a picnic in the
Urubamba river side. We return to
Cusco around
4 pm.

River . The most popular of which is white water rafting. Rafting trips vary depending the time of year. The Urubamba River is a class II, III and III+ whitewater river, It flows through Sicuani, Urcos and
Sacred
Valley down into the rain forest and the jungle. Amazing vegetation, hugh eucalyptus trees, and beautyful flowers, profusions of cactus of everywhere adorn the whitewater trip down the river. Excellent scenic riverside. The
Urubamba
River white water rafting season is all year long and from early December to late May the river is Class III, and IV.

8 am. passengers will be collected from hotel. Travel time:
1: 45 min there after we arrive
1st DAY: CUSCO-CHECACUPE-CHUQUICAHUANA
to a beaUtyful Place call Checacupe which will be the beginning for the two days. We are going to have a safety briefing followed by practice in the out side the river about the rafting. After it will take 45 five minutes before we stop to have lunch, after we going to the river and we will be there for two hours and we will be running class II and III rapids depending the level of the river. We will be finishing the rafting at
5 pm. Where we will camp next to the river.
2nd DAY: CHUQUICAHUANA-QUIQUIJANA-CUSCO
Today is the hardest day after a good breakfast we go to run the most difficult section of this rafting adventure. Today we will be running for 4 hours class II, III and III+ rapids (class IV rapids from January to April) after finishing this beautiful day we will have a picnic in the
Urubamba river side. Finishing this adventure we return to
Cusco.
