Lares biking - 3 days
Lares es the precfetc palce to prwctice different kind of outdoors activieities includiing biking. Thia tour will take you into the Peruvian Andean mountains from the sacred valley chain. Thr trip strated at 4400 meters sea level passing small adnean villages, river, valleys until the Amazonians rain forest. The bet of this trip is that this place is not to croeded by tourist also there are not a lot of vehicles while we are biking during the first an secon d days as other roads for biking. We Use as a base camp the thremal baths of Lares that is the precfect place for relaxation after baking..

Itinerary
DAY 1: Cusco - Lares path- Lares hot springs
Your trip leader and our private bus will meet you at the office at 8 am., for the four hour bus ride to Lares pass (4450 meter sea level, 14,599 ft), where will be the begining of our trip. We will have one first stop at Calca, small town where we can buy the last suplies for the trip, after we will stop several times along the way, so we can stretch our legs go to the bathroom etc. Once at Lares, guides and passengers will organize the trip, you'll then pack your camp clothes, sleeping bag, etc. After packing your things we provide a picnic lunch in the top on this mountain, there after we gather toguether for the biking orientation, 30 minute presentation given by the trip leader. He will go over the safety features of the trip, and demonstrate techniques for biking, this briefing will be followed by a practice on the bikes, so everybody can practice and see how the gear break and suspension works in the bikes, once everybody feel good and comfortable we start this great adventure. Then, it is on to the road! going down hill, zigzag and easy turns with peaceful calms and magnificent scenery. After the initial stretch of the road, we arrive to the a flat road where there will be a lot of small river that you have to cross, also many Andean Villages with Andean kids watching us ride on the bikecicles. Two hours later we will goin into Lares small village hiden into the mountains, here you rest and also you can have a litte look to the main Plaza and have some cold beers, after you contibue for about 10 more minutes untill we reach the hot springs of LAres, this will be our main camp during the trip. We have a briefing before we go to bed about the next day. Lares is located at 3350 meters sea level, 10990.8 ft., so this place during the nights can be cold and is perfect to have a nice hot bath in one of the pools that Lares hot springs offer.
DAY 2: Lares hot springs - Colca Amazon Jungle
The day begins at 8 a.m. with a delicious fresh fruit salad, cereal, yogurt, juice, fresh coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oat meal, bread etc. After breakfast, it’s time to pack up things that we will suse in the trip like mosquito repelent, sun cream, water etc, this things can be in the car that will be following us durirng the tour. 9:00 am., we jump back onto the bikes and continue our way through the Lares Valley wilderness. Today features some of the best circuites of the biking trip, with not many cars and impresive views of the Adean mountains and the Amazonian rain forest. The frst hours of our trip will be down hill through a road mix with slopes where we can see the Lares river dow to 300 to 600 meteers high. Most of our tourist like this day because is not to crowdedby cars and other travel agencies, one hour more and we stop for lunch. After we continue for about three more hours untill we reach the littel village call Colca, this will be the end of our biking day, we put the bike cicles on top of the car and we go back to Lares hot springs, in the way bak we can see the road an the places we went through with our bikes.
After unwinding for a few hours, the Guides will have a hot delicious dinner ready for you. After dinner you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea next to the campfire under the stars playing cards, telling more biing stories, and re-living your best adventures moments from the biking day day or jump into one of the pools for Lares hot springs.
DAY 3: Lares hot springs - Lares path - Sacred valley - Cusco
Another hearty breakfast prepares you for today’s journey with pancakes, bacon, scramble eggs, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea etc. After breakfast, it’s time to pack up the tents, bags and put the bikes on the car, for a one hour bus ride untill Pares path, this place will be again the beginning of the last biking trip. From here we have a nice dow hill circuite, nice turns and wide road untill we arrive to the most difiicult part of the biking tour. Here you can have to choices, the first you can continue through a dirt road or you can go out through a narrow and difficult circuit, this circuit starts out with exciting rocky road so be prepared for a thrill from the beginning after we travers a nice narrow gorge with a lot of stairs and narrow small paths until we reach Totora where we will meet with the rest of the group. From here will take two hours untill we reach Calca small town in the middel of the Sacred Valley, here we will have a good luch in one of the guest houses that we use for this tour.
What´s included
Meals (3L, 2B, 2D), bikes, guide, support car in case some body doesn't feel good or is tired to contunue on with the bikes, knee nand elbow protection, helmets, gloves and all camping gear.
What´s not included
Torch/ flashlight, clothing: lightweight long trousers (for evening), shorts , fleece/thermal top, T-shirts, bathing suit, sandals.
Personal items: eco-friendly toiletries ie. bio-degradable (no place to wash except in the river, no pollutants please!!)
What to bring
Sun-block, Insect repellet, sleeping bag (may rent for $3.50 per day), inflatable mattress (may rent for $3.50 per day.

All our bikes have suspention, disc breaks and 26 gear change. Not all the Peruvian companies offer this biking tours we are few of the travel agacies who operarte this tour.
