Holidays Peru Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Arrival in Lima at any time in the day. Transfer from airport to the hotel in Lima, where you are going to meet our guide who will give you tips on what to do in Lima and also will explain the flight itinerary and transfer time for the next day. Overnight in Lima. (No meals included).
Day 2: Pisco
4 hours drive to the Peruvian coast down to Pisco. Overnight Pisco. (1 breafast)
Day 3 Ballestas Islands
The Ballestas Islands is an important wildlife reserve, with over 160 species of marine birds, including Humboldt penguins, cormorants, boobies and pelicans. The wildlife is very lovely and helps the people to appreciate nature and relax. After this tour we go to Huacachina, an small desert oasis which consists of a quiet lagoon surrounded by sand dunes, palm trees and huarangos (carob trees). We can sand board or ride around in a dune buggy. 8 pm bus to Nazca, overnight in Nazca. (1 breakfast)
Day 4 Nazca
Optionally a visit to The Nazca Lines, an enormous network of lines and drawings of plants and animals that cover an area of some 350 square km, provide an unforgettable experience for those who fly over them.
Just 30 km from Nazca, we will all see mummies on a little trip to the archaeological cemetery in Chauchilla. At 10 pm we will drive in a 6 hours night bus to Arequipa. (1 breakfast)
Day 5 Arequipa
Morning rest.
City tour (Optional). Overnight in Arequipa. (1 breakfast)
Day 6-7 Colca Canyon
North of Arequipa is the amazing Colca Canyon. Twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in North America, the distance from the Colca riverbed to the top of the cliff is more than 13,100 feet. We will have a nice trek and it will be possible to relax in the Calera hot springs. On the 7th day we will have a little bus ride to Cruz del Condor where we can appreciate the canyon and the impressive condors flying.
After this we will return to Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa. (2 breakfasts-2 lunches-1 dinner)
Day 8 Puno
Six hours bus ride to Puno. City tour (Optional). Overnight in Puno. (1 breakfast)
Day 9-10 Lake Titicaca/Taquile, Amantani and Uros Island
Lake Titicaca is the highest elevated navigable lake in the world. The first day, we will visit Uros Islands, home of the oldest civilization of the region. These islands, made out of totora, a combination of reed and mud, float on the Titicaca lake, continue after to Amantani Island, there will be local families waiting for you, they will open their homes for a day and will provide cooked meals and they will share with you their customs and traditions, later in the evening there will be a little party that the village will organize for you. Next day, you continue to Taquile Island, that preserves remarkable customs in dress, history and culture. To rich the town takes about 30 minutes walking through picturesque route surroundings with trees, typical Taquile houses and the Titicaca Lake. In the village you'll take pictures and explore the town, after there will be lunch in a sightseeing restaurant with a nice view of the Lake. Later we will return to Puno, after two amazing days on the blue waters of Lake Titicaca. Overnight in Puno. Meals included 2 breakfasts - 2 lunches - 1 diner.
Day 11: Cusco
Early morning a private van will pick you up for a six hours bus ride to Cusco. In the way, you will see the beautiful scenery of the flat land from the Altiplano, down to the Andes of Cusco where we can see the changes in the different climate zones. The highest pass on this ride will be La Raya (4313 m.), there after you'll pass beautiful small Andean towns until we arrive to the Hotel in Cusco. Once you drop the luggage and take a nice shower, you'll meet your guide to have a nice tour guide around the City. After dinner, the Inca trail guide will give a briefing about the sacred valley and the Inca Trail tour. Overnight in Cusco. Meals included 1 breakfast.
Day 12: Day off
Day off, optional horseback riding, rafting, biking or city tour. Overnight in Cusco. Meals included (1 Breakfast)
Day 13: Sacred Valley Pisaq and Ollantaytambo
We will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 am and drive towards the Sacred Valley for a complete guided tour. Sacred Valley, offers stunning Andean mountains views, winding roads and impressive Inca architecture. This Valley runs parallel to the Urubamba River or Wilkamayu River (Sacred River). The Incas loved the valley for many of the same reasons today’s tourists and local residents do, for its special natural beauty and geographical and climatic qualities. You will visit Ollantaytambo and Pisaq. Pisaq, is an Inca complex, build in one of the mountains near to Pisaq town. After this tour, we will visit Pisaq market that is a wonderful open air market, here you can buy Peruvian handicrafts, clothing and some souvenirs. In the way to Ollantaytambo, you will pass through picturesque towns as La May, Qoya, Calca and Urubamba where you going to stop to have lunch in one of the best restaurants in town and try different typical dishes from the area. After lunch, we drive for 30 more minutes until we arrive to Ollantaytambo. This is a unique place, that keeps spectacular archaeological remains of the Incas for its multiplicity archaeological sites and the singularity of each one of them. Overnight at Ollantaytambo. Meals included 1 breakfast - 1 lunch
Day 14: Machu Picchu
This probably will the best part of your Holidays Peru tour. After a good breakfast we will go by bus to Machu Picchu it will take between 30 minutes to arrive. At Machu Picchu, our guide will give you a complete guided tour around this spectacular place, after you will have time to wonder through and take pictures from the places that we liked the most. The Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary has been designated as a world heritage natural and Cultural site. Machu Picchu contains many buildings, including storage constructions, houses, temples and strategic observatories along the way. You will meet your guide and the rest of the group at the bus station so you can take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and then take the train to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco. Meals included 1 breakfast.
Day 15 Lima
Flight back home. If your flight departures late in the evening, we
can organize a city tour or give you some tips to shop, also we can arrange lunch in one of the best restaurants in town, you can enjoy the delicious sea food as ceviche, black shells, rise with mariscos etc, this will be the perfect end for your Peru vacation tour.

What is not included
- Nazca lines: Guided tour of The Nazca lines. This is an optional tour its required 6 people as minimum and the price per the tour is 80 USD for 30 to 45 minutes flight. Sometimes it is not possible to fly because it is cloudy.

Hotel and meals during the days that passengers want to stay in Cusco, Puno or any of the cities, instead of continuing on with the trip.

Transfer from the Airport to the hotel the day at your arrival and the last day when you leave Peru. This can be arrange for 20 USD dollars per person.

What to bring
Weather can be different in Peru because the Andean mountains, we recommend to bring some warm clothes specially if you travel during May to September the early mornings and nights in Cusco and Puno can be very cold.
Any other items that you wish to pack are at your own discretion however you should attempt to comply with the suggested luggage weight limit.
Travel documents: passport, visas, travel insurance certificate, air tickets (with photocopies)
Any vaccination certificates required
Money: traveler’s checks/cash/credit or debit card, money belt
Binoculars, photo or video camera, cover for backpacks, fleece top, windproof/waterproof jacket, small towel and swim wear, 4 shirts/t-shirts, fleece top, sun hat, 1 pair of shorts, 2 pairs of long trousers, 1 pair hiking pants/track pants, hiking boots/ sturdy walking shoes, sport sandals, sun block, sunglasses, watch or alarm clock, flashlight.
Refillable water bottle and water purification tablets - No plastic water bottles (from bottled water you can purchase at a supermarket). Hard plastic bottles sold on camping stores are OK.
First-aid kit (should contain lip salve, aspirin, band Aids, anti-histamine, Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, re-hydration powder, extra prescription drugs you may be taking).
